— Mark 16:15
At DWRC, we recognize the invaluable role of Catechists in the mission of the Church. As the world changes, so does the call to spread the Gospel. Many communities, especially in remote villages, may not have access to formal faith formation, making the work of Catechists essential in carrying God’s Word to those who need it most.
The Catechist Retreat is designed to support those who feel called to this mission, providing them with spiritual nourishment, practical tools, and the guidance necessary to serve as strong pillars of faith in their communities. We invite all Catechists, particularly in the Telugu States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to participate in this retreat as they prepare to carry out the important work of evangelization and faith formation.
In Mark 16:15, Jesus commands His disciples, “Go into the world and take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.” This command is not just for those who travel far, but also for those who serve where they are—whether in cities or remote villages. Many areas remain underserved with access to faith formation, and the Catechist is often the bridge that connects these communities to the life-giving Word of God.
This retreat is designed not only to spiritually nourish you but also to equip you with the tools you need to carry out your important mission. Expect:
Sessions on Scripture, Church teachings, and the role of a Catechist in fulfilling Christ’s command to evangelize.
Times of prayer, reflection, and worship that renew your spiritual strength and deepen your relationship with God.
Training on teaching methods, communication skills, and how to engage your community in faith formation.
Connect with fellow Catechists, share experiences, and support each other in your shared mission to spread the Gospel.
Catechists are the heartbeat of faith formation in many communities. By attending this retreat, you will:
We invite all Catechists, especially those from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to join us for this important and transformative retreat. This is a time for you to grow spiritually, be equipped with practical tools, and be encouraged in your mission of faith formation.
Let us come together to be spiritually fortified, as we seek to carry out the vision of the universality of the Holy Catholic Church and fulfill the Great Commission of Christ.
